Senior care can be confusing.  And it’s not a very enjoyable subject.  We don’t like to plan for it.  We wish we didn’t have to look for it.  But when you need it, sometimes you need it now.

Searching online for the most appropriate senior care or senior living can be an overwhelming and stressful process.  How do families know where to turn?

What we do is sometimes called “placement”.  We’re also known as a senior care referral service or agent.

Whether you or a loved one needs to move to a care facility or find care immediately, or whether you’re doing early research, we’re happy to help.

We know what you’re going through.

What Kind of Elderly Help Do We Provide?

Here’s what you can expect from us when you call or email:

Assessment – We will spend time either on the phone, through email, or in person becoming familiar with your situation and assessing your loved one’s care needs.

Our assessment will include type of care required, type of environment desired, timing of needed services, budget and financing, preferred location and specific family preferences.

Suggestions and Referrals – Once we have gathered all your important data, we will put you in touch with several care providers who meet your specific criteria. We will (only with your permission) give your contact information to our suggested providers.

We do not recommend, only refer. We will always suggest at least two providers and most often three to five. The final decision will always be yours.

Visits – You will visit as many or as few of the referred care providers as you would like. We are happy to schedule visits for you and/or accompany you on your visits if helpful. We are available by phone, email or text to answer any and all questions. We will provide you with a checklist to use while visiting.

Evaluation and Follow Up – We will continue this process until we find the care provider that meets your needs. We will assist with any logistical details.

We will follow up with the care provider and your family to make sure everything is as it should be in the weeks following any transition. Your feedback is most important to us.

What Do We Base Our Referrals On?

Personal visits – We personally visit and evaluate every care provider we refer. We look for the specific criteria of each family we assist.
Licensing Criteria – We review all licensing inspection reports and look for any citations or complaints. We questions any citations.
Past History – We ask for feedback from families we have helped in the past. Their comments are our most important criteria.

 Elder Answers’ service is provided at no charge to families. We are paid by our partner senior communities and senior homes.
