Helping Your Family Find Senior Living Options That Are Right For Your Loved One

Lise about us photoFor 10 years we’ve been helping families find senior living options and senior care options with a personal approach.

You see, as the owner of Elder Answers, I’m my own customer.  So I know all too well what you’re going through.

My mother in law, Bonnie, passed in April of 2017.  She had congestive heart failure and died while sleeping, a true blessing.

However, my father in law Jack was left by himself, and that was hard.  He had dementia so couldn’t stay alone in their home.  In May of 2017 we placed him in a good small care home in Escondido.  He passed in February of 2018 after receiving wonderful, loving care from the staff there.

Finding the Right Senior Living Options For My Parents

As of January 2019, my parents Tom and Judy (88 and 86), are planning for their move to assisted living.  They’ve finally come to accept that staying in their home of 48 years is no longer possible.  What a difficult decision this has been!

My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in Spring of 2016.  Their situation is a bit unique since she has cognitive impairment and my dad is fully alert.

Not all senior care communities are set up to handle two different levels of care in one family.  But thankfully some are and my siblings and I think we’ve found the right fit.

The challenges continue for all of us…

Finding The Right Senior Living Options For Your Family

When a loved one needs care, the process of figuring out and finding the right care provider in the right place can be not only time consuming, but overwhelming and stressful.  As with my family situation, your family is unique and has its own personal needs.

The type of assisted living home or community, or the type of memory care facility, or perhaps the type of in home care your loved one needs will be different from your next door neighbor.

How do you know where to look?

This very difficult question is the reason I started Elder Answers…to help you.

Client Testimonials

I came across Lise after dealing with several other senior consultants, all of whom were either located out of town or not at all in tune with what I was looking for.

Lise was a “breath of fresh air”, taking the time and patience to learn about my parents and their needs.

She saved me LITERALLY hours upon hours of time and effort by providing me referrals to senior homes that met my criteria.

To say that she knows the San Diego senior market and is very well connected thereto would be an understatement!

At all times, her ONLY concern was getting my parents located in a place that was best for them, and for our family!

I recommend Lise without reservation. You may contact me for a reference/further information about my experience at any time.
